A major leading in Systems Integration, Managed Services and security this company has secured several major Federal Government contracts and requires a ICT BDM to join the Canberra office. The ideal applicant would be an experienced BDM (Hunter) professional with a proven track record in managing key federal government relationships and working within the Canberra market. This is a solution sales role, selling at the enterprise level to Federal Government accounts. You will have the ability to deal at C-level and entrepreneurial business acumen. This role would ideally suit someone with creativity, ability to think outside the traditional ‘sales box’ and the skills/experience to secure million dollar sales deals.
As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for maximising revenue from a number of key accounts through the process of identifying, qualifying and executing new business opportunities.
You will be accountable for:
- Selling Consulting services and managed services to Federal Government clients;
- Managing existing and new greenfield clients/account, ideally a Defence background
- Sales forecasting and account plan development;
- Identifying and managing proposal & tendering process;
- Engaging with architects and pre-sales engineers to provide a solution to clients;
- Meeting and exceeding million dollar sales targets.
- Define local sales strategy and targets for new business.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Mandatory requirements include:
- Proven track record in an BDM (hunter) role within the ICT industry, selling software, ICT and/or managed services solutions across enterprise Federal Government clients
- Experience in exceeding million dollar sales targets
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to manage C-level client relationships and provide exceptional customer service
- Impeccable communication skills
- Interpersonal skills: presentation, negotiation and ability to present solutions to a varied audience
1. 3-5 + years sales & business development experience in ICT solution selling (Federal Government)
2. Extensive knowledge of the Canberra Market & established senior contacts within Federal Government accounts
3. Proven track record in managing and meeting multi-million dollar budgets
4. Experience in selling ICT enterprise solutions
5. Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Government security clearance
